BEYOND ECONOMICS

The person behind the projects.

A little about what I care about, where I find energy, and how I spend my time beyond the classroom.

HELLO, I’M SHREY

Curiosity doesn’t stop
at the classroom door.

I’m a student at Oberoi International School in Mumbai, working towards my IB Diploma and an education in economics.

I’m drawn to the connections between people, policy and possibility. That curiosity shows up in my research, in the initiatives I build, and in the communities I spend time with.

But you’re just as likely to find me on the cricket pitch, rehearsing a play, or trying to name a flag before the timer runs out.

Outside the classroom

Cricket

Varsity fast bowler, selected through trials from 60+ students. Finished 4th at the ISSO national meet for international schools.

Theatre

Played leading roles in school productions and directed a school play. The stage is where I find a different kind of voice.

Languages

I speak English, Hindi and Spanish, and enjoy learning new languages.

Public speaking

Participated in interschool elocution events and anchored school functions.

Vexillology

I can identify the flags of 150+ countries, and regularly put that knowledge to the test on Sporcle.
